"I LOVE being a part of the chorus! It is so special. Really, without exaggerating, it's an experience
I've been craving most of my life!" ~ Sarah
"Thank you for accepting me into your group of warm, talented, friendly women. It is fortunate indeed, that I found such an extremely professional group on my first foray back into the world of performing." - Kathie

Sing, Play, or Volunteer!
Do you like to sing?
Another Octave is always looking for women who like to sing and would enjoy being a part of our chorus.
Rehearsals are held on most Tuesday nights from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the Unitarian Society of New Haven,
700 Hartford Turnpike, Hamden. You don't have to know how to read music, but we are an auditioned chorus, so you must be able to sing on key and memorize music. Directed by Melinda Walwer and assisted by Kris Montgomery, our 40-voice chorus performs regularly all over the state and has traveled nationally. We are members of GALA Choruses and Sister Singers. If you would like to check us out, come visit an open rehearsal in August or January. You can also contact us for more information by email us at [email protected].
Do you play an instrument?
Another Octave is always looking for musicians to complement our voices. If you play an instrument and would like to add your talent to our chorus, please contact us at [email protected].
Do you want to volunteer?
Even if you can't add your voice or instrument to Another Octave's sound, we still have plenty of opportunities for you to be a part of our chorus. We are always looking for volunteers to help us with fundraising, help our concert productions, be part of our Board of Directors, and much more. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us at [email protected].
